Revelstoke Property Services was incorporated in 2011 by Scott Duke and Eve Northmore, through the acquisition of a pre-existing management company operating under Coldwell Banker.  At the time, the property management sector in Revelstoke was very segmented and serviced by several small or unlicensed firms. In the last ten years, as the town has shifted from a resourced based economy to a tourism-based one, the demand for professional property management has increased.  

Drawing from experience running sizeable real estate properties in Muskoka Ontario, researching near-by tourism-based economies, and learning from Banff’s industry leader Peka Property Management; Revelstoke Property Services built the system, team, and culture necessary to grow with Revelstoke’s ever-changing property management needs. 

Today our organization employs eight full-time staff, ten part-time staff, a maintenance division, cleaning division, and is the dominant player in the short-term rental space; owning sites such as revelstokevacation.com, bcskivacation.com, and revelstokecentralreservations.com.  Focusing on ROI for every client and providing a quality living environment for every tenant, has blessed us with an average growth rate of 30% per year.

Our History

  • 2011


    Company Founded, 6 Units Under Management.
    RPS had humble beginnings, starting with the purchase of a few long-term contracts and a website from Jessica Kiclklack and Alison Lambert for $3,000. The company ran out of Scott Duke and Eve Northmore's spare bedroom while it got off the ground.
  • 2012


    Licensed by Real Estate Council of BC, 24 Units Under Management
    Along with notable growth, RPS was licensed to provide property management services in the province of BC by the Real Estate Council.
  • 2013


    First Staff Hired, 56 Units Under Management
    Crystal Ludge was brought onboard as an administrator to handle the extra workload. By mid-2013 RPS outgrew the home office and moved into office space shared with the radio station Stoke FM.
  • 2013


    Licensed as Independent Brokerage and for Strata Services & Vacation Rentals, 75 Units Under Management
    RPS made a major step and was licensed by the real estate council of BC to operate independently as its own brokerage. Additionally, strata management licensing was acquired by the managing broker Scott Duke, in anticipation of increased condo development in Revelstoke. Scott and Eve built two vacation rental properties in the town. Acknowledging the need for short-term rental management, RPS, started Revelstoke Vacation Rentals as a separate division.
  • 2014


    Expansion of Office and Company, 112 Units Under Management
    RPS doubles their office space, expands into commercial management and adds a cleaning division to the organization.
  • 2014


    Partnership with BC Housing, 145 Units Under Management
    Late in the year, RPS partnered with Community Connections and BC Housing to manage Revelstoke's largest affordable housing building Monashee Court.
  • 2015


    Addition of Maintenance Division, 160 Units Under Management
    To handle the increased maintenance and repair workload, RPS added a maintenance division to the business.
  • 2016


    Partnership with Revelstoke Community Housing Society, 178 Units Under Management
    RPS takes on the management of the newly developed Oscar Street properties owned by the Revelstoke Community Housing Society.
  • 2017


    Systemization, 164 Units Under Management
    Over the last year, founders Scott Duke and Eve Northmore enrolled in MBA programs through Jack Welch Management Institute and Adler University to aid in the development of RPS. Daily integration of applied principles has drastically increased efficiency throughout the organization. In 2016, the City of Revelstoke passed new bylaws restricting vacation rentals across the community. The short-term effect was a reduction of our vacation rental business by 25% with a commitment to promoting the development and management of licensed, legally operating vacation rentals.
